Reef Teach - Accredited COVID Clean Practicing Business
During any period of Covid-19 outbreak in Cairns or when mandated by the Queensland Government, the following Covid Safe practices will be adopted at Marine Discoveries premises and activities.

Marine Discoveries is committed to preventing the spread of COVID-19 and has adopted COVID-safe practices. We ask all customers, guests and visitors to respect Marine Discoveries’ COVID-safe policies for both their wellbeing and enjoyment but for others too.

Marine Discoveries is also committed to providing its staff with a safe workplace, and we ask that all person/s follow the staff’s directions. Any abuse to the team will not be tolerated, and anyone deemed to be abusive will not be allowed on the premises or will be asked to leave.

As an accredited COVID Clean Practicing Business, Marine Discoveries and it's staff have undertaken training and have developed customised daily, weekly, monthly and annual cleaning checklists which have been integrated into our business practices.

Business that can display the COVID Clean Practising Business logo provide a reassurance to customers that they have developed and initiated business practices which are specifically aimed to maintain high hygiene standards within their business aimed to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Key Policies We Are Asking
Visitors to Comply with:

  • If you are feeling unwell in any way, please stay at your accommodation. Do not come to Marine Discoveries.
  • Marine Discoveries staff can refuse entrance on the day if they see any person/s are showing signs and symptoms of COVID-19
  • When in force, practice social distancing - 1.5m rule between non-household people.
  • Practice good personal hygiene.
  • When required, Marine Discoveries will collect person/s contact information. If you don’t wish to supply this information, we cannot allow you on the premise as the Queensland Government requires it. It is our legal obligation.
  • If restrictions are in force from the Queensland Government, Marine Discoveries will not have coffee, tea, water and biscuits. Customers are welcome to bring snacks and drinks; all we ask is that the customer is to take their rubbish when they leave Marine Discoveries.
  • Please observe and follow all signage in the building and Marine Discoveries premises.
  • Marine Discoveries is not solely responsible for preventing the spread of COVID-19 on its premises. All person/s have a personal responsibility too. If you don’t wish to accept personal responsibility Marine Discoveries cannot let you in their premises.
