Marine Discoveries marine biologists are not only great coral reef scientists but are highly skilled and experienced presenters.
They use storytelling, humour and engagement mixed with their deep reef ecology knowledge and understanding to share stories of the GBR and its inhabitants with you. The GBR is so diverse there is no way that every element can be spoken about, but we pack in as much information as we can, and you are also more than welcome to ask questions throughout the talk – in fact, we encourage it.
By the end of our talk, you’ll know what corals are and how they have created the GBR – you will be surprised. You will have learnt about your favourite animals, as well as many you didn’t even know existed. You will have many stories about the reef to pass onto family and friends – some of which are so wild they may sound more like science fiction, but we promise are true!
You will also learn about some of the biggest threats facing the reef, its current situation, what is being done to help, and what it will look like into the future.
We encourage all visitors to The Great Barrier Reef to follow eco-tourism guidelines and “take only pictures and memories and leave only bubbles”!
